Education & Community Outreach

Choices Women;’s Medical Center is well known for its compassionate and comprehensive reproductive health services. As we expand and further develop our gynecological care and family planning programs, it is an everyday need to reach out with information and education about women’s bodies and basic health care.

Our Community Education Programs

  • Schools and Colleges – For no cost, CHOICES can offer classes on many levels, including intermediate and high schools, as well as college health fairs and special discussions, promoting overall reproductive health care and family planning for appropriate age levels, including prevention and treatment of STIs (sexually transmitted infections). 
  • Community Centers and Organizations – Many diverse communities sponsor health events that CHOICES is invited to attend and lead, along with libraries, senior centers and other organizations. Why should seniors be concerned? One past- 60-year-old told us after our presentation: "I didn't realize sexually active senior citizens had to be concerned about STIs and need to get tested. Thank you for letting us know!"
  • Need for Materials –While digital information is key to much outreach work, there continues to be a need for informative printed materials from CHOICES and other reliable sources, along with display and hand-outs.  Your donations will help provide these valuable tools and will assist our educators in their essential work.
